Easy to make Goat Curry Recipe

The Dorset Meat Company

1kg diced goat meat

400g chopped tomatoes (tinned)

400g kidney beans (tinned)

1 large onion (chopped)

1 whole head of garlic

2 chillies (3 if you like your curry very, very hot)

3 tbs of curry powder

Thumb size piece of ginger

100ml of vegetable oil

250ml beef stock

bunch coriander

pinch of salt

Our easy to make goat curry recipe is becoming real favourite at our table. With goat meat becoming increasingly popular with its deep rich flavour we will be experimenting to find new recipes so keep an eye out.

In a food processor whizz up the onion, garlic and ginger to a paste. Add the oil to a large heated casserole dish, once hot add the onion, garlic ginger paste and cook until soft (about 5 mins), now add the chopped chillies, the curry powder, and the salt. Cook for another 3 minutes (careful not to burn)

Now add the diced goat meat in to the casserole dish, and brown the meat. Add the stock and chopped tomatoes, and bring the dish to a boil cooking at high heat for 8 minutes, then reduce to a low simmer, cover the pan and cook for 2 hours. After 2 hours remove the lid and cook for a further 20 minutes, then add the kidney beans and cook for 5 more minutes. Sprinkle on some coriander – now ready to serve with some steamed rice.
