Delicious BBQ Marinade Recipes

The weather is now perfect for some BBQ cooking and here we share our favourite marinade recipes to add some great flavour to your dishes. The quantities can change depending on the amount of meat you need to marinade and the method is the same for all.

Yoghurt Marinade

100ml plain Greek Style Yoghurt

4 crushed garlic cloves

1 big bunch of fresh mixed herbs (whatever you have to hand) chopped finely

1 tsp salt

1-2 chillis (depending on how spicy you like it) chopped and de-seeded

Asian Marinade

1tbs of soy sauce

1tbs flavourless oil ie. nut, sunflower, grape

2 garlic cloves (crushed)

1tsp French mustard

1tbs Worcestershire sauce

2 tsp balsamic vinegar

Jamaican Marinade

5 tbs orange juice

1 tbs lime juice

1tbs soy sauce

3 spring onions (chopped finely)

2 inch grated fresh ginger

1 finely chopped chilli (or 2 if you want if extra spicy)

2 garlic crushed

1 tsp each of cinnamon, and allspice

Method

Place all the ingredients in a bowl, mix together and then cover your meat in the mix. Leave to chill for at least 30 minutes (overnight if possible). Then place on the grill and enjoy
