Isle of Wight Blue (200g)
This naturally rinded soft blue cheese is made with pasteurised milk from a Guernsey herd. When the cheese is young it has a relatively mild blue flavour but if you keep it in the fridge until close to its use by date, the flavour will be a lot stronger with a deeper, more rounded taste in the mouth.
Do not be alarmed! Being naturally rinded, it is covered in green, blue, grey and white mould. This gives it bags of character and the variety of surface moulds on the rind will make it stand out on any cheeseboard.
Isle of Wight Blue has been a multiple medal winner at the World, British and International Cheese Awards, most notably winning Best English Cheese at The World Cheese Awards in 2013.
